Restrictions

Age Range: Girl Scouts nights are for Girl Scouts ages 5 and older, with adult chaperones.

Requirements: There must be at least one adult (18+) chaperone per tent. Girl Scouts may not sleep in a tent without an adult (18+) chaperone.

Change/Cancellation: Reservations may be changed up to 30 days before the program and will be subject to a $25 Administrative Change Fee. Less than 30 days, changes not permitted. Cancellations received 30 days before scheduled program are subject to a $50 Cancellation Fee. Less than 30 days, payment is non-refundable.   

Girl Scouts will learn how easy it is to become allies for wildlife in their daily lives, while exploring the Safari Park on guided tours. Camp activities and wildlife presentations will reinforce conservation concepts tied to badge and rank requirements. Scouts are encouraged to bring SWAPs to trade with other troops! All campers will receive a special Roar & Snore patch for participating.

What you’ll do:

Explore the Safari Park after dark on a guided night hike.
Learn how the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is saving wildlife around the globe.
Stay under the stars in a canvas-style tent.
Enjoy s’mores around the campfire.
See some of the Safari Park’s most notable species on a private Africa Tram Safari.
We’ll take care of your meals: dinner, breakfast, and a snack are all included.

Due to the shortened Butterfly Jungle promotion timeline occurring this year, Butterfly Jungle will not be included in any Roar & Snore events in 2026. Campers who wish to visit Butterfly Jungle in 2026 will need to purchase separate timed Butterfly Jungle entry tickets once they go on sale in the spring. Butterfly Jungle tickets will need to be timed for either before or after the Roar & Snore experience.
