Butterfly Jungle Program Advisements
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido, CA 92027
Check-In: Butterfly Jungle Safari check-in is 5 minutes prior to the safari at the Butterfly Jungle Safari Entrance, located near the Flightline ticket booth.\
Minimum Ages
All ages may join Butterfly Jungle Safari. A paid adult must accompany children ages 15 and younger. Limit of 5 children per adult per group.
Due to fire safety codes, we are limited to five carried infants (under the age of one) through the Butterfly Jungle experience at the same time. To ensure a spot for everyone in your party, please reserve and purchase a space for everyone, including infants under the age of one. Groups with infants under the age of one without a purchased ticket may need be rescheduled to another time slot upon arrival to comply with fire safety codes.
No restroom available within the experience.
No food or drink except for water or other closed containers.
No large or bulky camera equipment; no tripods except as used as mono-pods.
For butterfly health and safety, photo extension poles ("selfie sticks") must be stowed away during safari.
Strollers are not permitted inside of the Hidden Jungle; stroller parking is available outside of Lorikeet Landing & in Flightline Plaza.
This is an all-weather event. Butterfly Jungle Safari is not cancelled for inclement weather; please plan accordingly. Refunds and rescheduling opportunities are not available for inclement weather.
A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Safari Park entry. Safari Park parking is not included and is paid upon arrival.
Change/Cancellations:
Reservations may be changed up to 3 days before the program. Changes made 3 days or less prior to the program are not permitted.
Cancellations received more than 3 days before the scheduled program are subject to a $25 Cancellation Fee. Cancellations made 3 days or less prior to the program, payment is non-refundable.
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park reserves the right to cancel or reroute a tour due to animal health and/or safety concerns. In the event of cancellation for these reasons, efforts will be made to reschedule you on a later tour.
For the safety of our animals and the comfort of our guests, outside food and beverages, selfie sticks, and tripods (except tripods used as monopods) are not permitted during the safari. Drinking water in closed-lid containers is permitted.
