Safari Park Flightline Program Advisements

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido, CA 92027
Check-In: 15 minutes prior to departure at the Flightline Safari ticket booth, located in the Nairobi Village
Program Requirements:
Minimum Ages
Must be at least 8 years old. No exceptions.
Children ages 8 to 15 must be accompanied by a paid parent or guardian 18 years or older and attend the entire Flightline experience. For participants under age 18, the liability waiver must be completed on site by a parent or legal guardian at the check-in.
Adult/Child Ratio: Maximum of 3 children ages 8 to 15 per adult.
Weight: Participants must weigh between 60 and 275 pounds and fit comfortably in the harness. No exceptions. Participants will be weighed at check-in.
Height: All participants must meet the minimum height requirement of 48” (4 feet) tall. No exceptions.
Footwear: Secure, closed-toed shoes are required.
Other Considerations:
- Food or drink are not permitted on the tour.
- No alcohol may be consumed by a participant, prior to taking a Flightline Safari.
- Long hair must be tied back and loose accessories removed
- No loose items may be taken on tour, this includes wigs, hats without an under-chin strap, cameras without a strap, selfie-sticks, cameras with detachable camera lenses or lenses that extend further than 2-3 inches from the camera body, cellphones, purses, or bags.
- Storage & personal item transport available for small to medium sized bags and other loose items, no large bags or open containers.
- Sunglasses are recommended, as long as they fit securely on the wearers’ face.
- Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs without assistance.
- Restrooms are not available during the tour.
- To participate in Flightline Safari, each participant must complete a liability waiver and understand and follow instructions in English.
- This tour operates in most weather conditions and is subject to cancelation if weather conditions are deemed not safe
Admission:
A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Safari Park entry. Safari Park parking is not included and is paid upon arrival.
Change/ Cancellation:
Reservations may be changed up to 3 days before the program. Changes made 3 days or less prior to the program are not permitted.
Cancellations received more than 3 days before the scheduled program are subject to a $25 Cancellation Fee. Cancellations made 3 days or less prior to the program, payment is non-refundable.
Flightline is an all-weather event; however, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park reserves the right to cancel or reroute a tour due to inclement weather, animal health, and/or safety concerns.
For the safety of our animals and the comfort of our guests, outside food and beverages, selfie sticks, and tripods are not permitted. Drinking water in closed-lid containers is recommended.
For the health and safety of wildlife, service animals are not permitted on this tour due to the sensitive nature of these animals and the restricted access of these habitats and buildings.
