Calling all teens! Are you interested in making a difference for wildlife? Then Conservation Corps at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is for you. The Conservation Corps is a hands-on program that offers high school students the opportunity to learn about conservation and environmental issues while developing their communication and critical thinking skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to give back to the community by participating in conservation projects in San Diego County, allowing students to learn from and network with experts and professionals in various conservation fields. Please note, there are no animal handling or interaction opportunities within this program.
- Conservation Corps will meet on select Saturdays beginning in September and ending in December.
- Students must be currently enrolled in 10th, 11th, or 12th grades.
- Interested applicants must attend a mandatory information session with a parent or guardian. Applications will only be available to those who attend an information session.
- If selected, applicants must be available for an interview held at the Safari Park in early September.
Thanks to a generous donation, this program is free of charge to accepted students for the Fall 2025 session.
