Dates of traditional school days, holidays, and summer vacations are based on several school districts within San Diego County. Transportation - Select -CarBusBoth Before you make a reservation, please check the appropriate Fee/Rate Calendar (see above) to ensure you are aware of the Safari Park admission rate for your chosen date. Dates and prices may have changed from previous years. During October, in-county and out-of-county school groups, grades pre-K–college, are admitted free during the week (Monday through Friday), but must make a reservation at least 2 weeks prior to the group's visit. The email you receive after submission of this form is not your official invoice and does not guarantee your visit date. Please note your second date may be applied if we can not accommodate your group on your first choice desired date. An official invoice will be sent to you via email from Educationpark@sdzwa.org. Please do not book transportation until your official invoice has been received. If immediate attention is needed for your invoice, please email us. Quantities & Ratios The minimum size of a school/youth group is 15 people. Each school/group can bring a maximum of 200 people per day. Each individual over the 200-person limit is charged full price. Your group must have a minimum of 1 adult for every 10 students. Adult chaperones are required to stay with their students at all times. San Diego County Schools Only: The maximum ratio of free adults is 1 per 4 students. If you have any special needs students, we allow one adult for every one special-needs student in the group. Adults above the maximum ratio of free adults, up to and not exceeding the total number of students, are $20 each. If the number of adults exceeds the number of students, each adult exceeding the number of students will be charged full admission price (or need to present a valid membership). Teachers are counted in the total number of adults. Lunch(es)/Meal(s) There are a limited number of free lunch storage in the log ring area behind Guest Services before you enter the Park. Please note that this storage cannot be locked. There are some lockers available for a fee, these are located to the left just after you enter the front gate. The best option is to have students carry their lunches in their backpacks or purchase food vouchers at the time you make a reservation. If you would like to purchase meal vouchers in advance, which can be used at the majority of food stands throughout the Safari Park, please check the box below and an order form will be sent to you.
