Safari Park Roar & Snore Program Advisements
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido, CA 92027
A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Safari Park entry.
If Safari Park parking has not been purchased in advance, parking is required and must be paid upon arrival.

Check-In
Roar & Snore: Check-in takes place from 4:15 to 5:00 PM
- Upon arrival, proceed to the Preferred Parking section of the guest parking lot and look for the Roar & Snore check-in booth featuring the Roar & Snore tent design.
- Drop off your luggage with a Roar & Snore team member at the booth. Your luggage will be transported separately to the Roar & Snore campsite.
- After dropping off your luggage, follow the directions provided by the Roar & Snore team and proceed inside the Safari Park to Safari Excursions to complete your check-in.
SUPREME Roar & Snore: Check-in begins with luggage drop-off at 3:45 PM
- Upon arrival, proceed to the Preferred Parking section at the top of the guest parking lot and drop off your luggage with the Roar & Snore team.
- After dropping off your luggage, follow the directions provided by the Roar & Snore team and proceed inside the Safari Park to Safari Excursions to complete your check-in by 4:00 PM.
Check-Out
Roar & Snore Check-Out: Campers will be escorted out to the parking lot by 9:30 AM to receive their luggage. They may then re-enter the Safari Park at their leisure with their tickets and hand-stamps or membership cards.
SUPREME Roar & Snore Check-Out: at 10:30 AM at the check-in location, where guests will receive their luggage back from staff. They may then re-enter the Safari Park at their leisure, with their tickets and hand-stamps or membership cards.
Minimum Ages
Adults: Ages 21 and over only
All Ages: All Ages programs require at least one adult, ages 18 and older, per tent.
Supreme: Ages 8 and up only
Girl Scouts: Girl Scouts nights are for Girl Scouts ages 5 and older, with adult chaperones. Girl Scouts must book a designated Girl Scout night. There must be at least one adult chaperone per tent.
School & Youth: School & Youth Nights are for students in grades 3 through 12, with adult chaperones, as well as youth groups such as YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, FFA, 4-H, Cub Scouts, Church Groups, etc. There must be at least one adult chaperone per tent.
Adult-Child Ratio for School & Youth Nights: Adults may not attend without students or youth group members. The number of adults may not exceed the number of student/child/youth participants. There must be at least one adult chaperone per tent. Students/youth may not sleep in a tent without an adult chaperone. A chaperone is defined as an adult 18 years of age or older and no longer a high school student. Any student, regardless of age or maturity, is not considered a chaperone and will not satisfy the ratio requirement. Adults who have not been designated by the school/teacher/organization as an official chaperone may not attend. Siblings are permitted only if they are in grades 3 – 12 (i.e., no siblings younger than third grade).
Changes and Cancellations: All Ages and Adult Nights
Reservations may be changed up to 30 days before the program and will be subject to a $25 Change Fee. Less than 30 days, changes not permitted.
Cancellations received 30 days before scheduled program are subject to a $50 Cancellation Fee. Less than 30 days, payment is non-refundable.
Changes and Cancellations: Girl Scouts and School / Youth Nights
$100 Deposit paid at initial booking is non-refundable.
Any balances are due in full 30 days prior to program along with actual number of participants.

Fees:
A fee of $300 will be charged to the credit card used for payment of your reservation for any damage or excessive cleaning measures.
Additional Information for All Roar & Snore Sleepovers
Some walking is required during tours.
Personal commodes are not permitted.
Roar and Snore Safaris are an all-weather event; however, during periods of inclement weather, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park reserves the right to cancel or reroute a program due to inclement weather, animal health, insufficient enrollment and/or safety concerns. In the event of cancellation, efforts will be made to reschedule you for a later, applicable Roar & Snore date.
For the safety of the wildlife and the comfort of our guests, outside food and beverages, selfie sticks, and tripods (except tripods used as monopods) are not permitted. Drinking water in closed-lid containers is recommended.
To protect the health and well-being of sensitive wildlife, service animals are not permitted in certain habitats and behind-the-scenes buildings accessed during this program.
The Safari Park hosts many private events that may take place near the campsite during Roar & Snore, some lasting as late as 10pm. Please be aware that there may be music or sounds of excitement and celebration during these events. The Safari Park works on mitigating noise bleed, but event venues are outdoors, and the valley may carry sound.
