Black and white coloration gives this bird its "magpie" name, but its long bill, long neck and long legs make it hard to mistake for anything other than a goose. The black head of a magpie goose is topped with a noticeable knob, and its face is covered with naked, red skin. Its feet, unlike most geese, are only partially webbed. A flock of magpie geese lives in Walkabout Australia’s walk-through area, near the pond. Don't be surprised if you hear their loud "honk" before they come into view.
